Job Summary:
The Manager at Jo Kisaka Fashion House will lead the company’s daily operations, ensuring efficient coordination between design, production, sales, and marketing.
This role demands a passionate leader with a strong understanding of the fashion industry, African aesthetics, brand storytelling, and business strategy.
The Manager will play a critical role in scaling the brand locally
and internationally while maintaining our creative integrity and social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Production Management;
- Oversee end-to-end fashion production processes from concept to delivery.
- Coordinate with tailors, pattern makers, and production assistants to ensure quality and timelines are met.
- Maintain inventory of fabrics, accessories, and supplies, and ensure timely procurement.
Team & Talent Coordination
- Supervise and support design and production teams, promoting collaboration and accountability.
- Facilitate team training and capacity-building, especially with youth and women in tailoring initiatives.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff in line with company growth.
Creative & Brand Oversight
- Work closely with the Creative Director to implement seasonal collections and fashion campaigns.
- Uphold Jo Kisaka’s brand identity in all garments, events, and public appearances.
- Contribute ideas to enhance brand visibility and relevance in fashion showcases, exhibitions, and digital platforms.
Business & Financial Management
- Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial
- efficiency across departments.
- Track sales performance, set business targets, and support e-commerce operations.
- Liaise with local and international buyers, clients, and suppliers to build sustainable business relationships.
Marketing & Public Relations
- Oversee execution of marketing campaigns (social media, pop-up shops, influencer collaborations).
- Manage brand presence at fashion events, runway shows, and media opportunities.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and brand reputation both online and offline.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Business, Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fashion management, preferably in a creative or African fashion brand.
- Solid understanding of garment production, fashion supply chains, and retail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in business software (Excel, QuickBooks, project management tools) is an added advantage.
