Our client, a dynamic logistics company, specializing in sourcing and sale of high quality laboratory, biomedical equipment and consumables in the East African region, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their team.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your responsibilities will include:

1.              Strategic Leadership:

o   Develop and execute the firm’s sales strategies aligned with our vision and long-term goals.

o   Provide strategic advice to the Managing Director and the Board

2.             Sales and Market Expansion:

o      Grow and diversify our supplier base to enhance our competitiveness in tenders.

o      Expand existing opportunities while identifying new ones.

o      Cultivate relationships with potential and existing clients.

3.             Technical Expertise:

o      Serve as the technical point of contact for all sales and installation activities.

o      Maintain a detailed register of equipment, tracking installation, warranty periods, and service schedules.

o      Ensure compliance with technical and operational regulations.

4.             Team Leadership:

o      Leading and supervising the technical, sales and marketing teams to meet sales targets and ensure profitability.

o      Train and mentor subordinate staff to stay current with industry trends.

5.             Business Planning:

o      Prepare and implement comprehensive sales plans, optimizing cost-effective operations and market development.
